What Is the Masimo Compatible M-LNC-4 SpO2 Adapter Cable 2524?

The IPR Medical SA-008RB-12ML is a compatible aftermarket replacement for the Masimo 2524 (M-LNC-4) SpO2 adapter cable. It is not an OEM product. This 4 ft (1.2 m) reusable patient cable connects Masimo M-LNCS series pulse oximetry sensors to monitors and defibrillators equipped with Masimo SET technology. It is designed to match the original 2524 cable in fit, form, and function.

Compatible Monitor Models

This cable is compatible with Masimo Radical, Radical-7, Rad-8, Rad-5, Rad-5v, Rad-9, and Rad-87 monitors, and with the Rad-57 and Pronto-7 handhelds. On the defibrillator side, it supports the Physio-Control LIFEPAK 11, 12, 15, 20, and 20e and the Zoll E Series, M Series, and R Series. It also fits Masimo-equipped Welch Allyn Propaq CS and Spot Vital Signs monitors, Bitmos SAT 800-series and 901 units, and GE Dinamap ProCare and ProSeries monitors. Mindray/Datascope Accutorr, Duo, Trio, Passport, and Spectrum monitors with the Masimo option, the Philips Invivo Escort II, and the Philips Respironics Alice 5 are also supported. Please confirm that your device has a Masimo SET SpO2 port and uses M-LNCS sensors before ordering.

Design and Construction

The cable has a Masimo SET connector on the monitor end and an M-LNCS sensor connector on the patient end, joined by a flexible, shielded 4 ft (1.2 m) cable. The M-LNCS interface is a different connector from the standard LNCS interface. This cable will not accept standard LNCS, LNOP, or RD series sensors. The shorter length keeps the cable run tidy at bedside, on transport monitors, and on defibrillators, where extra cable can tangle or snag. The cable is reusable and supplied one per bag.

When to Replace Your M-LNC-4 SpO2 Adapter Cable

Replace the cable if you see any of the following: intermittent or dropped SpO2 readings, “sensor off” or “no cable” alarms when a known-good sensor is attached, cracked or loose connector housings, bent or recessed pins, or a cut or kinked jacket. Biomedical technicians can confirm a cable fault by swapping in a known-good cable and sensor. If readings return to normal, the cable should be retired. Keeping a spare M-LNC-4 cable on hand reduces monitor downtime on crash carts, in transport, and in procedural areas.

The IPR Medical SA-008RB-12ML cross-references to Masimo 2524 (M-LNC-4) and Draeger MP02988. This cable is for M-LNCS sensors only.
