The IPR Medical SS-024-NW20 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) neonate wrap SpO2 sensor that replaces OEM part M1193A. Made for neonatal patients, this reusable sensor has a wrap-style design and a 6.6 ft (2.0 m) cable, and it is intended for use with the SpO2 technology identified in the Specifications table.
Compatible Monitor Models
Most entries in the Compatible Monitor Models table are monitors from the original equipment manufacturer, shown with their model names and numbers on the Specifications tab. A few other brands appear as well, including select Solaris models (NT2A and NT2C) and the Mindray / Datascope V12. Design and Construction
The sensor pairs a wrap design sized for neonates with a 6.6 ft (2.0 m) cable. Each sensor is reusable and comes bagged individually. Clean it between patients under facility protocol, and check the wrap, the cable, and the connector for wear each time before it is applied.
When to Replace Your Neonate Wrap SpO2 Sensor
Signs that a wrap sensor needs replacing include a wrap that is frayed, stretched, or no longer holds securely, a cable with cuts, kinks, or a cracked jacket, and a connector with bent pins. On the monitor, watch for unstable SpO2 values, a pulse rate that disagrees with the patient, or sensor-off alarms during routine handling. Trying a known-good sensor on the same monitor confirms where the fault lies.
