What Is the GE Masimo to Nellcor Oxismart SpO2 Adapter Cable?

This GE Healthcare compatible SpO2 adapter cable lets a GE monitor equipped with Masimo SET pulse oximetry use Nellcor Oxismart sensors. The monitor end connects to the GE Masimo SpO2 port, and the sensor end accepts Nellcor Oxismart-style sensors, so a facility can run Masimo-equipped GE monitors with the Nellcor sensors it already stocks. It is a compatible aftermarket replacement, not an original GE, Masimo, or Nellcor part.

Compatible Monitor Models

This compatible cable is confirmed for use with Masimo-equipped GE CARESCAPE B450, B650, B850, and V100 monitors and with Dinamap ProCare 300, ProCare Auscultatory 400, ProCare with Masimo Pro 1000, Pro 300V2, ProSeries V2, and V300 monitors. Design and Construction

The cable runs 9.8 ft (3.0 m), a longer reach that suits ICU, OR, and NICU setups where the monitor is boom- or wall-mounted away from the bedside. The monitor end matches the GE Masimo SET interface, and the sensor end accepts Nellcor Oxismart sensors. The cable is reusable after cleaning according to facility protocol and ships one per bag.

Replace the cable when the monitor shows “SpO2 sensor off,” “no cable,” or cable/sensor fault messages with a known-good Nellcor Oxismart sensor, when saturation or pleth readings drop out as the cable is moved, or when you find a cracked jacket, a loose sensor latch, or bent or corroded connector pins. Longer cables see more foot traffic and bed-rail pinching, so inspect them regularly. Swapping in a known-good cable and sensor quickly identifies which component is at fault.
