What Is the Mindray MR403B Compatible Adult Skin Temperature Probe?

The Mindray MR403B compatible adult skin temperature probe (SKU TS-MRA-AS30), often called a temp probe, is a reusable, aftermarket replacement (not OEM) for the Mindray MR403B probe (0011-30-37393). It is a skin surface probe for adult patients with a 0.35 in (9.0 mm) sensing disc and a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable. The probe plugs directly into the monitor's temperature input through a 2-pin connector, so no adapter cable is needed.

Compatible Monitor Models

This probe is compatible with Mindray BeneView T1, T5, T6, T8, and T9, BeneHeart D2, D3, and D6, BeneVision N1, N12, N15, N17, N19, and N22 and ePM 10, 12, and 15 monitors, select iMEC, uMEC, iPM, and cPM models, the DPM 6 and DPM 7, Passport 8, 12, 12m, 17m, and V, the V12 and V21, the Trio, VS 8, and VS 9, and select Ubeconn models. It is also compatible with the Datascope DPM6, DPM7, T5, T8, and VS 900, and with the Contec MS400 patient simulator. The complete model list is in the Specifications tab.

Design and Construction

The probe has a 0.35 in (9.0 mm) sensing disc for adult skin surface temperature measurement, connected by a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable to a 2-pin connector that plugs directly into the monitor. It is reusable and ships one per bag. Clean and disinfect between patients according to your facility's protocol for reusable temperature probes.

When to Replace Your Temperature Probe

Replace the probe when the monitor shows a temperature probe-off or no-probe message with the probe connected, or when readings drop out, jump, or read implausibly as the cable is moved. A cracked or damaged sensing disc, a split or kinked cable jacket, and a loose or bent pin at the monitor connector are also signs the probe should be retired. Testing with a known-good probe is a quick way for biomedical staff to separate a probe fault from a monitor temperature input fault.
