What Is the Nellcor D-YSPD Compatible Pediatric SpO2 Sensor?
The IPR Medical SS-001XC-PF10 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) pediatric finger clip SpO2 sensor that replaces the Nellcor D-YSPD. It is a reusable hard shell sensor intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax technology, and it comes with a 3.3 ft (1.0 m) cable.
Compatible Monitor Models

Design and Construction
The SS-001XC-PF10 has a hard shell finger clip housing sized for pediatric patients and is intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology. Its cable is 3.3 ft (1.0 m) long, and each sensor is packaged one per bag. The sensor is reusable, so it can be cleaned between patients according to facility protocol and returned to service while it continues to pass inspection.
When to Replace Your Pediatric SpO2 Sensor
Pull the sensor from service if the finger clip housing is cracked, the clip no longer stays closed on the finger, the cable jacket is nicked, split, or kinked, or the connector has bent or damaged pins. Readings that fluctuate or drop out, repeated sensor-off or poor-signal alarms, and values that change when the cable is flexed are also signs of a worn sensor. Swapping in a known-good sensor on the same monitor lets biomedical staff confirm whether the sensor is at fault.
