What Is the Nellcor MAX-N Compatible Adult/Neonate Disposable SpO2 Sensor?
The IPR Medical SSD-001XC-W09AN is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) adult/neonate non-woven adhesive SpO2 sensor that replaces the Nellcor MAX-N. Specified for both adult and neonatal patients, it is a disposable sensor for use with Nellcor OxiMax technology, with a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable and 24 sensors per box.
Compatible Monitor Models
The compatibility listings for this sensor cover select Nellcor models including the N-395, N-6000, and NPB-3930, select GE Healthcare Solar, Dash, Carescape, and Pro Series models, and select Mindray / Datascope Trio, Passport, Spectrum, and BeneVision models. They also include select Welch Allyn Propaq and Connex models and select Spacelabs Ultraview, Biolight, Fukuda Denshi, Criticare / CSI, and Nihon Kohden models, plus models from the other brands in the table. Some Datex-Ohmeda, Mindray / Datascope, and Welch Allyn models are listed for use with the Nellcor SpO2 option; those configurations appear in separate rows. The complete model list, including the option configurations, is in the Compatible Monitor Models table on the Specifications tab, so look up your monitor there first.
Design and Construction
The SSD-001XC-W09AN is a non-woven adhesive sensor specified for adult and neonatal patients and intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology. Each sensor has a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable, and one unit is a box of 24. This is a disposable sensor, so it should be discarded after use according to facility protocol.
When to Replace Your Adult/Neonate Disposable SpO2 Sensor
Change to a new sensor if the adhesive loses its hold or the sensor no longer stays in position, if it becomes soiled or damaged, or on the schedule set by facility protocol. Frequent signal dropouts, recurring sensor-off or poor-signal alarms, and readings that shift with cable movement are additional reasons to swap it out. When a new sensor does not correct the issue, have biomedical staff evaluate the monitor.
Cross Reference and Interchange Part Numbers
This compatible sensor replaces the Nellcor MAX-N and also cross-references to Draeger MX50068, GE Healthcare / Marquette 70124032, Mindray / Datascope 0010-10-12205, and Physio-Control 11996-000117. Refer to the Cross Reference / Interchange Part Numbers table on the Specifications tab for the other numbers.
