Design and Construction

The SSD-001XC-S09PI is a non-adhesive foam sensor sized for pediatric and infant patients and intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology. It has a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable, with 24 sensors in each box. The sensor is disposable; once used, discard it per facility protocol.

When to Replace Your Pediatric/Infant Disposable SpO2 Sensor

Replace the sensor whenever the fit fails and it can no longer be kept securely in position, when it is soiled or damaged, or in keeping with facility protocol. SpO2 dropouts, recurring sensor-off or weak-signal alarms, and readings that change with cable movement are other signs that a fresh sensor is needed. Should the symptoms continue with a new sensor, biomedical staff can evaluate the monitor and its SpO2 connection.
