What Is the M1598B Compatible NIBP Air Hose?

The IPR Medical BPH-AS15-07Z-02M is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) NIBP air hose that replaces OEM part M1598B. Designated for adult and pediatric patients, this reusable single-tube hose measures 4.9 ft (1.5 m) and pairs with 1-tube bayonet cuffs.

Design and Construction

Over its 4.9 ft (1.5 m) length the hose carries one tube. Its BP plug is a 6.0 mm male (0.24 in) style, and it is specified for 1-tube bayonet cuffs. Each hose is packed one per bag and is meant to be reused, so wipe it down between patients following your facility cleaning protocol and look over both fittings before you reconnect a cuff.

When to Replace Your NIBP Air Hose

Air leaks are a common sign of a worn blood pressure hose, and they tend to show up as slow or incomplete cuff inflation, leak alerts, and measurement cycles that time out. On the bench, check for tubing that has turned stiff, cloudy, or tacky, splits close to a fitting, and a plug that no longer seats firmly. Running the same monitor and cuff with a hose you know is good separates a hose fault from a cuff or module problem.
