What Is the Mindray 512FLH Compatible Adult SpO2 Sensor?

The Mindray 512FLH compatible adult SpO2 sensor (SKU SS-053-AF30) is a reusable, aftermarket replacement (not OEM) for monitors that use Nellcor OxiSmart SpO2 technology. It is a hard-shell finger clip sensor for adult patients with a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable.

Compatible Monitor Models

This sensor is compatible with Mindray BeneView T1, T5, and T8, BeneHeart D3 and D6, BeneVision N1, N12, N15, N17, N19, and N22, ePM 10, 12, and 15, and VS-600 and VS-900 monitors, the iPM 8 and iPM 9800, the uMEC 10, 12, and 15, and the Passport 8 and 12. It also fits Datascope Accutorr 3 and Accutorr 7, DPM6, DPM7, MEC 12, MPM, PM 6800, T8, and VS 900 monitors. Several other Mindray models, including the BeneView T6 and T9, BeneHeart D2, and select iMEC, iPM, uMEC, and Ubeconn models, are compatible only when equipped with the Nellcor SpO2 option. Design and Construction

The sensor uses a hard-shell finger clip sized for adult patients. It is designed for Nellcor OxiSmart SpO2 technology, so it should only be used on monitors with a compatible Nellcor OxiSmart SpO2 input. The sensor is reusable and ships one per bag. Clean between patients according to your facility's protocol for reusable SpO2 sensors.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Sensor

Replace the sensor when the monitor shows sensor-off, no-sensor, or low-signal messages on a well-perfused patient, or when SpO2 and pulse readings drop out or turn erratic as the cable is moved. A cracked or loose clip housing, a clip that no longer holds the finger securely, a cut or kinked cable, and bent or recessed pins at the monitor connector are also signs the sensor should be retired. Testing with a known-good sensor is a quick way for biomedical staff to separate a sensor fault from a monitor SpO2 board fault.
