What Is the Nihon Kohden JC-024P Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The IPR Medical SA-044-30 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) SpO2 adapter cable that replaces the Nihon Kohden JC-024P. This reusable 9.8 ft (3.0 m) adapter is intended for use with Nihon Kohden SpO2 technology on compatible Nihon Kohden monitors.

Design and Construction

The SA-044-30 is a reusable SpO2 adapter cable for Nihon Kohden SpO2 technology, with a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) length and one cable per bag. Between patients, clean it per facility protocol, and keep it in use as long as it passes inspection.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Take the adapter out of service if you see a cracked or split jacket, exposed conductors, a loose or broken connector housing, or bent pins at either end. On the monitor, intermittent SpO2 values, repeated probe-off or sensor alerts, and a signal that drops when the cable moves are typical signs of a failing adapter. Swapping in a known-good adapter with the same sensor is a fast way to confirm the fault.
