What Is the Nihon Kohden JL-900P Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The IPR Medical SA-045-30 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) SpO2 adapter cable that replaces the Nihon Kohden JL-900P. It is reusable, has a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable, and is intended for use with Nihon Kohden SpO2 technology.

Compatible Monitor Models

This adapter is listed for an extensive range of select Nihon Kohden models. Examples include the BSM-3562, BSM-6301K, BSM-7201K, and TEC 8300, the BSM-9510 Life Scope M and BSM-9800 Life Scope S, Life Scope A, J, P, and TR, the SVM-7000 Series and SVM-7260, and Vismo PVM 2701 and PVM 2703. A number of entries list a monitor with an additional Nihon Kohden part, such as BSM-2300 with YJ 230P or BSM-9100 with AY 651P. Design and Construction

Each SA-045-30 is bagged individually and gives you 9.8 ft (3.0 m) of reusable cable, intended for use with Nihon Kohden SpO2 technology. Wipe it down according to your facility protocol after each patient, and return it to the floor for as long as it continues to pass your inspection checks.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Replace the adapter if the jacket shows cracks, abrasion, or crush damage, if a connector housing is loose or broken, or if you see bent pins at either end. Watch for SpO2 readings that drop out, frequent check-sensor or sensor-off alerts, and signals that change as the cable is moved. A swap with a known-good adapter on the same monitor quickly tells you whether the cable is the problem.
