What Is the Nihon Kohden JL-650P Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The IPR Medical SA-045X-30 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) SpO2 adapter cable that replaces the Nihon Kohden JL-650P. This reusable adapter has a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable and is intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax sensors.

Compatible Monitor Models

Listed compatible equipment includes select Nihon Kohden models such as the BSM-1753, BSM-3552, BSM-3572, BSM-6310K, BSM-6501K, and BSM-6701K, along with Life Scope TR, BSM-1700 Life Scope PT, SVM-7000 Series, SVM-7250, and MU-631RA entries. Some monitors are listed together with AY 651P or AY 653P, for example BSM-3000 with AY 651P. Design and Construction

Designed for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology, the SA-045X-30 is a reusable adapter cable with a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) length, packaged one per bag. Clean the cable per facility protocol between patients, and keep it in rotation for as long as it passes inspection.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Replace the adapter when you find cuts, cracks, or kinks in the jacket, a connector that is loose or cracked, or bent pins at either end. On the monitor, SpO2 values that drop out, recurring sensor-disconnect alarms, and readings that jump when the cable is handled are typical signs of wear. Checking the same sensor with a known-good adapter is a quick way to isolate the fault.
