What Is the Nihon Kohden NK-OEM-10 Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The IPR Medical SA-047X-30 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) SpO2 adapter cable that replaces the Nihon Kohden NK-OEM-10. It is a reusable adapter, 9.8 ft (3.0 m) long, designed for use with Nellcor OxiMax sensors.

Design and Construction

The SA-047X-30 is intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology and has a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable. It is reusable and ships one per bag; clean it between patients per facility protocol and keep it in service while it passes inspection.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Retire the adapter if the jacket is split, cracked, or crushed, if the strain relief is worn through, or if either connector is loose or has bent pins. Repeated sensor-off alarms, loss of the SpO2 waveform, and readings that cut out when the cable is moved are the usual signs. Testing with a known-good adapter and the same OxiMax sensor helps confirm which component needs replacing.
