On Our Bench

Common Baxter Pump Repairs

These are the faults we see most often on Baxter pumps. Our Sigma Spectrum guide covers each one in detail.

Battery and battery-contact faults

Corroded contacts and worn batteries cause unexpected shutdowns and short run times on battery.

Door latch and clamp sensor errors

Worn latches and side-clamp sensors stop the pump from recognizing a loaded set.

Occlusion and air-in-line alarms

Drifting downstream occlusion sensors and faulty AIL sensors cause false alarms that interrupt therapy.

Power supply and charging

Failed AC adapters, charging boards and power supplies keep the pump from charging or powering on.

Display problems

Dim, dead or distorted screens and backlight failures.

Flow-rate accuracy drift

Mechanism wear that pushes delivered volume out of tolerance; we verify accuracy after every repair.

FAQ

Baxter Repair Questions

Can you repair Sigma Spectrum pumps that are out of manufacturer support?

Yes. We repair Spectrum Version 6, Version 8 and Spectrum IQ pumps, including units that are no longer supported by the manufacturer.

Can you help with drug libraries or Spectrum software?

Please contact us or call (855) 477-8866 to discuss drug library and software questions for your fleet.

Do you provide loaner pumps during repair?

We don’t offer loaners. If a pump isn’t worth repairing, you can decline the estimate and we can credit that unit toward a recertified pump.

How do I send my equipment in?

Submit an RMA request online. We email you a free inbound shipping label (FedEx or UPS), and you pack and ship your equipment to our Tustin, California facility.

What does it cost if I decline the repair?

Nothing. For customers in the United States, the shipping label, the evaluation and the return of declined equipment are free. Some large or specialty equipment carries an evaluation fee, and we always tell you before you send it in.

Do your repairs come with a warranty?

Yes. Every repair includes a 90-day warranty. Recertified equipment we sell comes with a 6-month or 1-year warranty depending on the model.
