The Baxter InfusO.R. is a battery-operated syringe infusion pump built for the operating room, where it aids the administration of intravenous agents during anesthetic procedures. Its defining feature is the magnetically coded Smart Label system: the clinician snaps on a drug-specific label, dials the dose in clinical units already scaled to patient weight, and the pump runs — no menus and no reprogramming. The result is a fast, simple, lightweight device long favored by anesthesia providers for vasoactive drips, narcotics, muscle relaxants, and propofol.
