What Is the Mindray 0010-20-42594 Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The Mindray 0010-20-42594 compatible SpO2 adapter cable (SKU SA-052-24) is a reusable, aftermarket replacement (not OEM). It is the extension cable that connects a Nellcor OxiSmart-compatible SpO2 sensor to the monitor's SpO2 input. The monitor end uses a 6-pin connector, and the sensor end accepts the sensor plug. The cable is 7.9 ft (2.4 m) long.

Compatible Monitor Models

This cable is compatible with Datascope monitors including the Passport XG, DPM1 through DPM5, MEC 100 and MEC 200, PM 600, PM 6000 (New), PM 9000 Express, VS 800, VS 900, 6201, and 809B. It is also compatible with Mindray Accutorr V, Duo, Trio, Passport V, MEC 1000, MEC 1200, and MEC 2000, PM 7000, PM 8000, and PM 9000, and VS-800 monitors, and with Nellcor SpO2-equipped versions of the Mindray DPM 3, DPM 4, DPM 5, PM 5000, and PM 6000. Select Edan, Kontron, Draeger, and other monitors are compatible as well, several of them only when equipped with the Nellcor SpO2 option. Design and Construction

The adapter cable is designed for Nellcor OxiSmart sensor technology, so it should be paired with OxiSmart-compatible sensors. At 7.9 ft (2.4 m), the cable gives staff room to position the monitor away from the bedside while the sensor stays on the patient. It is reusable and ships one per bag.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Replace the adapter cable when the monitor shows sensor-off or no-sensor messages with a known-good sensor attached, or when SpO2 and pulse readings drop out or turn erratic as the cable is moved. Cracked or kinked jackets, bent or recessed pins at the monitor connector, and a loose or worn connector at the sensor end are also signs the cable should be retired. Testing with a known-good adapter cable is a quick way for biomedical staff to separate a cable fault from a sensor or monitor SpO2 board fault.
