What Is the Mindray-Compatible Adult Finger Clip SpO2 Sensor?

This Mindray-compatible adult finger clip SpO2 sensor (SKU SS-052M-AF30) is a reusable, aftermarket replacement (not OEM) for use with Mindray and Datascope monitors that use Masimo SET SpO2 technology. It is a hard-shell finger clip sensor for adult patients with a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable.

Compatible Monitor Models

This sensor is compatible with Datascope DPM3, DPM4, DPM5, M1K0, M2K0 (before January 2006), PM 6201, PM 8000 Express, PM 9000 Express, PM 9100, PM 9200P, and VS 800 monitors, and with Mindray PM 6000, PM 7000, PM 8000, and PM 9000 monitors. It is also compatible with Masimo SpO2-equipped versions of the Mindray DPM 3, DPM 4, DPM 5, MEC 1000, MEC 1200, MEC 2000, PM 5000, PM 6000, PM 7000, PM 7000 Standard, PM 8000, PM 8000 Express, PM 9000, PM 9000 Express, and VS 800. Design and Construction

The sensor uses a hard-shell finger clip sized for adult patients. It is designed for Masimo SET SpO2 technology, so it should only be used on monitors with a compatible Masimo SpO2 input. The sensor is reusable and ships one per bag. Clean between patients according to your facility's protocol for reusable SpO2 sensors.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Sensor

Replace the sensor when the monitor shows sensor-off, no-sensor, or low-signal messages on a well-perfused patient, or when SpO2 and pulse readings drop out or turn erratic as the cable is moved. A cracked or loose clip housing, a clip that no longer holds the finger securely, damaged or discolored windows over the emitter and detector, a cut or kinked cable, and bent pins at the monitor connector are also signs the sensor should be retired. Testing with a known-good sensor is a quick way for biomedical staff to separate a sensor fault from a monitor SpO2 board fault.
