What Is the Mindray 043-000487-01 Compatible 3-Lead One-Piece ECG Cable?

The Mindray 043-000487-01 compatible 3-lead one-piece ECG cable (SKU EC-3016S-A) is a reusable, aftermarket replacement (not OEM). The trunk cable and three AHA-coded limb leads (RA white, LA black, LL red) are built as a single assembly, so there is no separate leadwire set to connect. The trunk is 8.2 ft (2.5 m) and the leads are 3 ft (0.9 m), for a total reach of about 11.2 ft (3.4 m). In addition to ECG, the cable supports respiration rate monitoring.

Compatible Monitor Models

This cable is compatible with a broad range of Mindray monitors, including the BeneView T1, T5, T6, T8, and T9, the BeneVision N1, N12, N15, N17, N19, and N22 and ePM 10, 12, and 15 monitors, select iMEC, uMEC, iPM, and cPM models, the Passport 8, 12, 12m, and 17m, the DPM 6, DPM 7, and DPM 8, and the BeneHeart D1 Pro, D2, D3, and D6 defibrillator/monitors. It is also compatible with the Datascope DPM6, DPM7, MPM, PM5000, PM6000, and T8, as well as select Biocare, Edan, MDPro, Medica D, and Northern Meditec monitors. Design and Construction

Each lead ends in a snap that attaches to standard snap electrodes. Because the cable is a single piece, there is no trunk-to-leadwire junction to loosen or contaminate. It is reusable and ships one per bag.

When to Replace Your One-Piece ECG Cable

Replace the cable when ECG traces show noise, baseline wander, or intermittent lead-off alarms that appear or clear when the cable is flexed, since these usually point to a broken conductor inside the trunk or a lead. Respiration waveforms that drop out or read erratically can point to the same kind of fault. Because the trunk and leads are a single assembly, damage anywhere along the cable, such as a split jacket, bent or damaged connector pins, loose or corroded snaps, or faded color bands, means the whole cable should be retired. Swapping in a known-good cable is a quick way for biomedical staff to separate a cable fault from a monitor ECG input fault.
