What Is the Nihon Kohden JL-630P Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The IPR Medical SA-045RB-24 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) SpO2 adapter cable that replaces the Nihon Kohden JL-630P. It is a reusable 7.9 ft (2.4 m) cable designed for use with Nellcor OxiSmart sensors, so those sensors can be used with compatible Nihon Kohden monitors.

Clean the cable per facility protocol between patients, and keep it in service as long as it passes visual and functional inspection.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Replace the adapter if the cable jacket is cracked, cut, or kinked, if either connector is loose or cracked or has bent pins, or if the strain relief is pulling away. Frequent sensor-off alarms, SpO2 dropouts, and readings that change when the cable is flexed often point to a worn adapter. Testing with a known-good sensor and adapter on the same monitor helps isolate which part has failed.
