What Is the Nellcor OXI-A/N Compatible Infant Wrap SpO2 Sensor?

The IPR Medical SS-001XC-NW10 is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) infant wrap SpO2 sensor that replaces the Nellcor OXI-A/N. This reusable sensor is sized for infant patients, designed for use with Nellcor OxiMax technology, and fitted with a 3.3 ft (1.0 m) cable.

Compatible Monitor Models

This wrap sensor appears in compatibility listings for select Nellcor models such as the N-20, N-600x, and NPB-3920, select GE Healthcare Dinamap, Carescape, Dash, and Solar models, and select Mindray / Datascope Passport, iMEC, VS, and BeneVision models. Select Welch Allyn Connex, Nihon Kohden Life Scope, Spacelabs, Cardell, Draeger Infinity, and Siemens models are also listed, together with models from the other brands in the table. Some Mindray / Datascope, PaceTech, and Welch Allyn models are listed for use with the Nellcor SpO2 option; those configurations appear in separate rows. Design and Construction

The SS-001XC-NW10 is a wrap-style sensor sized for infant patients and intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology. It has a 3.3 ft (1.0 m) cable and comes one per bag. Being reusable, it can be cleaned between patients according to facility protocol and kept in rotation while it continues to pass inspection.

When to Replace Your Infant Wrap SpO2 Sensor

Remove the sensor from service if the wrap is frayed, torn, or no longer holds the sensor securely, if the cable jacket is split, cut, or kinked, or if the connector is bent or damaged. Unstable SpO2 values, repeated sensor-off or low-signal alarms, and readings that change as the cable is moved are further signs of wear. Biomedical staff can confirm a sensor fault quickly by testing a known-good sensor on the same monitor.
