What Is the Compatible Masimo 2318 LNCS Pdtx-3 SpO2 Sensor?
The Masimo 2318 (LNCS Pdtx-3) compatible SpO2 sensor (IPR SKU SSD-005RB-W09P) is a single-patient-use adhesive finger sensor for pediatric patients on Masimo SET-equipped monitors. It is a compatible aftermarket replacement, not an OEM Masimo product, built to match the fit, form, and function of the original. The sensor has a non-woven adhesive wrap sized for smaller fingers and a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable that ends in a Masimo LNCS connector. It plugs directly into LNCS-equipped Masimo devices, or into an LNCS patient cable on other brands’ monitors that use Masimo SET technology. Adhesive sensors stay in place on active children, and single-patient use removes the need to reprocess reusable sensors between patients.
Compatible Monitor Models
Because LNCS is the most widely licensed Masimo sensor interface, this compatible sensor works across a very broad installed base. Compatibility includes Masimo Radical-7, Rad-5, Rad-8, Rad-57, Rad-87, and Pronto-7; Mindray and Datascope Passport, Spectrum, Accutorr, BeneView, BeneVision, ePM, iMEC, VS, and PM series monitors; GE Healthcare Dash, Solar, Eagle, Tram, and CARESCAPE B650, B850, and V100 monitors, plus Dinamap ProCare and Corometrics fetal monitors; Philips IntelliVue MP-series and M3001A MMS configurations, SureSigns VS2 and VS3, and Heartstream XL; Physio-Control Lifepak 11, 12, 15, 20, and 20e; Zoll E, M, R, and X Series; Draeger Infinity Delta, Kappa, M540, and Narkomed 6400; Welch Allyn Propaq, Spot Vital Signs, and 64, 65, 67, and 68 series; and Datex-Ohmeda S/5 and Giraffe Infant Warmer. The Specifications tab lists every compatible model. Confirm that your device is configured for Masimo SET oximetry, and whether it requires an LNCS patient cable, before ordering.
Design and Construction
The non-woven adhesive wrap conforms to a child’s fingertip and holds the emitter and detector in alignment through movement, which makes it well suited for continuous monitoring in the PICU, pediatric ED, OR, and during transport. The sensor is sized for pediatric patients weighing approximately 22 to 110 lbs (10 to 50 kg). The 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable terminates in a triple-keyed male 9-pin LNCS connector. Each sensor is single-patient use, latex-free, and non-sterile, and sensors are packaged 20 per box.
When to Replace Your 2318 LNCS Pdtx-3 SpO2 Sensor
Adhesive sensors are designed for a single patient and should be discarded when that patient is discharged or the sensor is removed. Replace the sensor sooner if the adhesive no longer holds securely, the sensor becomes soiled or wet, the emitter or detector shifts off the nail bed, or the site needs to be rotated per your facility’s skin-integrity protocol, which is especially important for pediatric skin. Persistent “sensor off” or low-signal alarms on a well-perfused patient are also a cue to apply a fresh sensor at a new site. Keeping adequate box stock on each pediatric unit prevents staff from substituting adult sensors or reusing sensors past their intended life.
Cross Reference and Interchange Part Numbers
This compatible sensor cross-references to Masimo 2318 (LNCS Pdtx-3), 2602 (LNCS Pdtx-3), and 1860 (LNCS Pdtx), and to the OEM-labeled equivalents sold under other monitor brands, including Datascope 0600-00-0122 and 520P-30-64201, Draeger MP00793, GE Healthcare 2027254-001, Philips 989803148241, Physio-Control 11171-000020, and Zoll 8000-0321. The Masimo 1860 reference is the 18-inch-cable version of the same pediatric adhesive sensor. This listing is the 3.0 ft (0.9 m) version.
