When to Replace Your 1269 LNOP DCI SpO2 Sensor

Finger clip sensors take a lot of handling, and wear shows up first at the hinge, the finger pads, and the connector. Replace the sensor when the clip no longer closes firmly, the finger pads are torn or hardened, the emitter or detector windows are scratched or discolored, the LNOP connector is cracked or loose, or the cable jacket shows cuts or kinks. Persistent “sensor off” alarms, low perfusion warnings on well-perfused patients, or readings that drop out when the cable is moved also point to a failing sensor.
