What Is the Compatible Masimo 2501 M-LNCS DCI SpO2 Sensor?

The Masimo 2501 (M-LNCS DCI) compatible SpO2 sensor (IPR SKU SS-007RB-AF10) is a reusable adult finger clip sensor for Masimo SET-equipped devices that use the M-LNCS sensor interface. It is a compatible aftermarket replacement, not an OEM Masimo product, built to match the fit, form, and function of the original. The 3.3 ft (1.0 m) cable ends in an M-LNCS connector, which attaches to the monitor through an M-LNCS-compatible patient cable such as a Masimo rainbow RC-series or M-LNC cable. Finger clip sensors used in EMS and emergency settings take heavy handling, and wear shows up first at the hinge, the finger pads, and the connector. Replace the sensor when the clip no longer closes firmly, the finger pads are torn or hardened, the emitter or detector windows are scratched or discolored, the M-LNCS connector is cracked or damaged, or the cable jacket shows cuts or kinks. Persistent “sensor off” alarms or readings that drop out when the cable is moved also point to a failing sensor. If a sensor fails to read on a monitor that passes self-test, try a known-good sensor and patient cable to isolate the fault quickly.
