What Is the AAMI One-Piece ECG Cable (EC-3001S-A)?

The EC-3001S-A is a compatible aftermarket one-piece ECG cable that connects an AAMI-standard patient monitor or defibrillator directly to the patient’s electrodes. In a one-piece (direct-connect) design, the trunk cable and the three leadwires are permanently integrated into a single assembly, reducing the number of connection points where signal loss and mechanical failure typically occur. The cable uses snap-style electrode terminations, AHA color coding, and a defibrillation-protected construction. This is a compatible replacement and is not an OEM product; IPR Medical is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any original equipment manufacturer referenced on this page.

Compatible Monitor Models

Because it uses the universal AAMI monitor connection, the EC-3001S-A is compatible with an exceptionally broad range of bedside monitors, transport monitors, and defibrillators. Confirmed compatible systems span manufacturers including Edan, Zoll, Medtronic/Physio-Control, Mindray/Datascope, Nihon Kohden, Spacelabs, Criticare, Invivo, PaceTech, Smiths Medical/BCI, Goldway, Welch Allyn, and many others. On the Edan side it is commonly used with the iM8, iM50, iM60, iM70, and iM80 monitors, and it is also a frequent replacement on Zoll M, E, and R Series defibrillators and Lifepak 5 through 10 units. A complete manufacturer-and-model breakdown is provided in the Specifications tab. If your monitor or defibrillator is not listed, contact IPR Medical and we will help verify the correct cable for your configuration.

Design and Construction

This 3-lead cable measures approximately 11 ft (3.4 m) and is built with a flexible TPU jacket selected for durability through repeated handling, coiling, and wipe-down disinfection. The integrated one-piece construction places the trunk and leadwires in a single shielded, defibrillation-protected assembly, which helps reject electrical noise and deliver a clean ECG waveform even in resuscitation settings. Snap electrode ends provide a secure, low-profile connection well suited to continuous monitoring, and the leads follow AHA color coding for fast, correct placement. The cable is latex-free and reusable, and is manufactured to FDA, CE, ANSI/AAMI EC53, and ISO 10993 standards.

When to Replace Your ECG Cable

A one-piece ECG cable should be replaced when wear begins to affect signal quality or safety. Common indicators include a noisy or wandering baseline, intermittent dropout or flatline on one or more leads when the cable is flexed, visible cracking or kinking of the jacket, exposed conductors, corroded or loose snap ends, and a monitor connector that no longer seats firmly. Because integrated leadwires cannot be swapped individually, a single damaged lead usually means replacing the whole cable. Keeping a tested spare on hand helps avoid monitoring downtime, and IPR Medical stocks these cables for fast replacement while also offering repair and service support for patient monitoring assets.

Cross Reference and Interchange Part Numbers

The EC-3001S-A is referenced across the industry under several interchange numbers. It corresponds to the Edan OEM cable 01.57.471095-10, the Zoll OEM reference 8000-0025-02, and the Mindray reference 009-005268-00, along with the Cables and Sensors equivalent C2340S0. Additional interchange numbers include Curbell CB-72316 and CB-72355, RPI KCB008, and AMC 1073/S. These cross-references are provided to help biomedical and procurement teams confirm compatibility when sourcing replacement cables across different supplier catalogs. A complete interchange table is provided in the Specifications tab.
