Paired with the Avalon CL Base Station (866074) and Avalon FM20, FM30, FM40, or FM50 fetal monitors, it delivers the same measurement performance as wired Smart Transducers while letting mothers walk, shower, or reposition during labor with an operating range of up to 100 m (300 ft) line of sight.

The 866077 is watertight for underwater monitoring, weighs only 0.6 lbs (0.27 kg), and docks directly into the Avalon CL base station for automatic assignment and battery recharging — no patient cables, no separate charger. It is applied externally to the maternal abdomen and uses a wide-beam Doppler ultrasound element to detect fetal heart sounds, which the host monitor then processes through its auto-correlation algorithm to produce a continuous fetal heart rate (FHR) trace. Philips M2734A / M2734B Smart Toco MP Transducer | Avalon

The Philips M2734A and M2734B are wired Smart Toco MP transducers used with the Philips Avalon family of fetal/maternal monitors (FM20, FM30, FM40, FM50). They combine two parameters in a single sensor — external uterine activity (Toco) and maternal pulse (MP) — and enable the Avalon platform’s Smart Pulse automated coincidence detection, which cross-checks the maternal pulse against the fetal heart rate to confirm the host monitor is not inadvertently tracking maternal heart rate as fetal. The M2734B is the successor revision to the M2734A and is functionally interchangeable on the Avalon Toco socket; both are auto-identifying via the Smart-interface (pink) connector and carry internal calibration data storage.
