What Is the Mindray 0010-21-12179 Compatible IBP Adapter Cable?

The Mindray 0010-21-12179 compatible IBP adapter cable (SKU IBP-MRA-EW40) is a reusable, aftermarket replacement (not OEM) for the Mindray / Datascope 12-pin invasive blood pressure cable for Edwards transducers. It connects a disposable Edwards-style pressure transducer to the 12-pin IBP input on a compatible patient monitor, carrying the transducer signal for arterial, central venous, and other invasive pressure monitoring. The cable is 13 ft (4.0 m) long.

Compatible Monitor Models

This cable is compatible with Mindray and Datascope monitors that use the 12-pin IBP input, including the Passport, Passport 8, 12, 12m and 17m, DPM 6 and DPM 7, BeneView T1, T5, T6, T7, T8 and T9, BeneVision N1, N12, N15, N17, N19 and N22 (including the Neo and N15 OR versions listed), ePM 10, 10M, 12, 12M and 15, iMEC, iPM, uMEC, cPM 8 and 12, BeneHeart D3 and D6, and VS 9 and VS 900. It is also compatible with the Edan Elite V5, V6 and V8, the iM8, iM9, iM50, iM60, iM70 and iM80 families, the M3, M8, M9, M50 and M80 families, and the X10 and X12, as well as the Pronk Technologies SL-8. Design and Construction

The monitor end is a round, keyed, male 12-pin connector, and the patient end is an Edwards-compatible transducer connector. Mindray offers a separate 6-pin version of this cable (0010-21-43094) for monitors with a 6-pin IBP input, so confirm the connector on the monitor before ordering. The gray cable jacket is latex-free, and the cable is reusable and ships one per bag.

When to Replace Your IBP Adapter Cable

Replace the cable when pressure waveforms show noise, drift, or dropouts that change when the cable is moved, when the monitor reports a transducer or IBP cable fault that clears with a known-good cable, or when zeroing becomes unstable. Cracked connector housings, bent or recessed pins, loose transducer latches, and cuts or kinks in the jacket are also reasons to retire the cable. Swapping in a known-good cable is a quick way for biomedical staff to separate a cable fault from a transducer or monitor IBP module fault.
