Version U is the most advanced software iteration of the Perfusor Space platform for the US market, adding Target Controlled Infusion (TCI/TIVA), Take Over Mode (TOM) for seamless syringe-to-syringe handoff, AutoProgramming with EHR integration, wireless drug library upload, and barcoding to the core Perfusor Space feature set.
Delivering ±2% accuracy from 0.01 ml/h up to 60 ml/h (depending on syringe size), with nine adjustable occlusion pressure levels, an automatic piston brake to prevent inadvertent bolus during syringe changes, and a post-occlusion bolus reduction system, the Perfusor Space is one of the most capable syringe pumps in clinical use. Designed for ease of use across acute care, outpatient, and home infusion settings, the Vista Basic delivers accurate, continuous and programmable infusions of parenteral and enteral fluids across a rate range of 0.1 to 800.0 ml/h with Vista tubing — or up to 999.9 ml/h with Intrafix sets — in 0.1 ml/h increments. The aluminum housing is drip-proof, resistant to disinfectants, and built for the day-to-day demands of clinical use. Straight-line tubing loads quickly without the need to thread complex pathways, and the plain-language LCD display walks operators through programming step by step. The 7.2V NiCd rechargeable battery provides approximately 3.5 hours of runtime at maximum delivery rate. The Outlook™ 100 is intended for use with B. Braun Medical Inc. Horizon® Pump IV Sets to regulate the flow of primary and secondary fluids when positive pressure is required. The infusion system is capable of delivering fluid from a negative head height (when the IV fluid container is lower than the pump), and provides clinically accepted volumetric accuracy for all standard IV fluids, including blood, lipids, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN).
Positive pressure is frequently a necessity, but clinical experience shows that high pressure limits may increase the severity of an infiltration without causing an alarm. Because there is a need to control pump pressure settings, the Outlook ES has user-selectable Occlusion Limit settings which start at 75 mmHg and extend to 750 mmHg.
The pump is equipped with distinct audible and visual alarm signals to indicate Keep Vein Open (KVO), low battery, and other alarm conditions.
