What Is the Nihon Kohden JC-906PA Compatible ECG Trunk Cable?

The IPR Medical ET-6013-NKB-A is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) 3/6-lead ECG trunk cable that replaces the Nihon Kohden JC-906PA. It is a reusable 8.2 ft (2.5 m) trunk cable with respiratory rate capability and AHA designation, intended for ECG monitoring with limb and chest leads. It is used with Nihon Kohden BR-9XXP leadwires.

Compatible Monitor Models

This trunk cable is listed for select Nihon Kohden BSM models such as the BSM-2351A, BSM-4114A, BSM-6501A, and BSM-9101, select Life Scope models including the Life Scope J and Life Scope TR, and select PVM and TEC models such as the PVM-2701 and TEC 8321. Design and Construction

The ET-6013-NKB-A supports 3-lead and 6-lead ECG configurations covering limb and chest placement, and it carries the AHA designation. The cable is 8.2 ft (2.5 m) long, includes a respiratory rate feature, and is used with Nihon Kohden BR-9XXP leadwires. It is reusable, so it can be cleaned between patients per facility protocol, and it is packaged one per bag.

When to Replace Your ECG Trunk Cable

Replace the trunk cable if the jacket is cracked, crushed, or kinked, if the leadwire connection points are loose or damaged, or if the monitor connector has bent pins or a cracked housing. ECG traces that drop out across every lead at once, noise that changes when the trunk cable is flexed, and unreliable respiration readings are typical signs of a failing trunk cable.
