What Is the Nellcor MAX-A Compatible Adult Disposable SpO2 Sensor?

The IPR Medical SSD-001XC-W09A is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) adult non-woven adhesive SpO2 sensor that replaces the Nellcor MAX-A. It is a disposable sensor intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax technology, it has a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable, and it is supplied 24 per box.

Compatible Monitor Models

This adhesive sensor is listed as compatible with select Nellcor models including the N-595, N-600x, and NPB-3900, select GE Healthcare Dash, Solar, Carescape, and ProCare models, and select Mindray / Datascope Passport, Spectrum, iMEC, VS, and BeneVision models. Design and Construction

The SSD-001XC-W09A is a non-woven adhesive sensor sized for adult patients and designed for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology. It has a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable, and each box holds 24 sensors. The sensor is disposable; discard it after use per facility protocol.

When to Replace Your Adult Disposable SpO2 Sensor

Replace the sensor when the adhesive no longer holds it securely, when it becomes soiled or damaged, or as your facility protocol directs. A new sensor is also the first step when the monitor shows SpO2 dropouts, frequent sensor-off or low-signal alarms, or readings that shift when the cable is moved. If a fresh sensor does not clear the problem, biomedical staff can then check the monitor and its SpO2 connection.
