What Is the Nellcor MAX-P Compatible Pediatric Disposable SpO2 Sensor?

The IPR Medical SSD-001XC-W09P is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) pediatric non-woven adhesive SpO2 sensor that replaces the Nellcor MAX-P. Sized for pediatric patients and intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax technology, this disposable sensor has a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable and ships 24 per box.

Compatible Monitor Models

Select Nellcor models such as the N-190, N-600, and NPB-4000C appear in the compatibility listings for this pediatric sensor, along with select GE Healthcare Dash, Solar, Dinamap Pro, and Carescape models and select Mindray / Datascope Passport, DPM, VS, and BeneVision models. Select Welch Allyn Spot Vital Signs and Propaq models, select Smiths Medical / BCI, Omron / Colin, Mortara, Edan, and Physio-Control Lifepak models, and models from the other brands in the table are listed too. Design and Construction

The SSD-001XC-W09P features a non-woven adhesive sensor sized for pediatric patients, intended for use with Nellcor OxiMax SpO2 technology. It has a 3.0 ft (0.9 m) cable and is packaged 24 per box. As a disposable product, each sensor is discarded after use per facility protocol.

When to Replace Your Pediatric Disposable SpO2 Sensor

Replace the sensor once the adhesive no longer keeps it secure or the fit has been lost, if it is soiled or damaged, or as directed by facility protocol. Watch for signal symptoms as well: SpO2 dropouts, frequent sensor-off or weak-signal alarms, and values that move when the cable is handled. A new sensor that does not clear these symptoms points to the monitor or its SpO2 connection, which biomedical staff can then inspect.
