What Is the GE 2021141-001 Compatible 3-Lead One-Piece ECG Cable?

The GE Healthcare Marquette 2021141-001 compatible ECG cable is a reusable, aftermarket 3-lead one-piece patient cable with grabber/pinch electrode connectors for GE Marquette, CARESCAPE, and Datex-Ohmeda patient monitors. The trunk and limb leadwires are permanently joined in a single assembly, and the cable supports impedance respiration monitoring. It uses AHA color coding. It is a compatible replacement, not an original GE part, and it is built to OEM fit, form, and function.

Design and Construction

The cable combines an 8.2 ft (2.5 m) trunk with 3.0 ft (0.9 m) limb leadwires for a total reach of about 11.2 ft (3.4 m). The grabber/pinch connectors clip onto tab and snap electrodes, so one cable can be used with a range of electrode styles. The one-piece design has no yoke-to-leadwire connection to loosen or lose, which makes it a durable choice for routine bedside, transport, and procedural 3-lead monitoring. The cable is reusable after cleaning according to facility protocol and ships one per bag.

When to Replace Your GE 3-Lead ECG Cable

Replace the cable when the monitor shows “leads off” or a noisy, intermittent ECG with fresh electrodes, when respiration readings drop out, when artifact appears as the leadwires are flexed, or when you find a cracked jacket, a broken or weak grabber spring, or bent or corroded pins at the monitor connector. Because the leadwires are permanently attached, damage to any single lead means replacing the whole cable.
