What Is the Nellcor SCP-10 Compatible SpO2 Adapter Cable?

The IPR Medical SA-002-24 is a compatible aftermarket SpO2 adapter cable that replaces the Nellcor SCP-10 (not an OEM part). It is built for use with Nellcor OxiSmart SpO2 sensors, linking the sensor to a compatible monitor so pulse oximetry readings reach the bedside display. At 7.9 ft (2.4 m), it gives clinicians room to position the patient and route the cable without pulling on the sensor.

Compatible Monitor Models

This adapter cable is listed as compatible with select Nellcor pulse oximeters, select Mindray and Datascope Passport, Spectrum, Trio, Duo, and Accutorr monitors, select GE Healthcare Dinamap, ProCare, and Carescape monitors, select Datex-Ohmeda, Nihon Kohden, Omron and Colin, and Welch Allyn models, select Physio-Control Lifepak and Zoll units, and select Criticare, Invivo, Mortara, and other monitors. Design and Construction

The cable is a reusable SpO2 adapter cable designed around Nellcor OxiSmart SpO2 technology. It measures 7.9 ft (2.4 m) end to end and ships one per bag. As a reusable accessory, it can be cleaned between patients per facility protocol and the manufacturer’s instructions for your monitor, and kept in service as long as it passes inspection.

When to Replace Your SpO2 Adapter Cable

Replace the adapter cable when you see a cracked or split jacket, exposed conductors, bent or damaged pins at either connector, a loose or wobbly connection at the monitor or sensor, or kinks that do not relax. Intermittent SpO2 readings, frequent sensor-off or no-signal alarms, or readings that drop out when the cable is moved are also common signs of a failing cable. Swapping in a known-good cable is a quick way for biomedical staff to isolate whether the cable, the sensor, or the monitor is at fault.
