What Is the GE 2017009-001 Compatible Neonatal NIBP Hose?
The GE Healthcare 2017009-001 compatible neonatal NIBP air hose is a reusable, aftermarket dual-tube hose that connects a neonatal two-tube blood pressure cuff to the NIBP port on GE, Marquette, Dinamap, Corometrics, and Datex-Ohmeda equipment. GE’s DINAMAP-based NIBP uses separate lumens for cuff inflation and pressure sensing. At neonatal cuff volumes, even a very small leak or a hose not sized for neonates can cause failed or repeated measurements on fragile infants. It is a compatible replacement, not an original GE part, and it is built to the same fit, form, and function as the OEM 2017009-001 hose.
Compatible Equipment Models
This compatible neonatal hose is confirmed for use with GE Marquette Dash 2000, 2500, 3000, 4000, and 5000 monitors, Eagle and Eagle 3000, Solar, Tram 400, 450, 451, 800, 850, and 851 modules, the PDM module, and MAC-Lab. It also fits GE CARESCAPE B105, B125, B450, B650, and B850 monitors, Dinamap B105, B105M, B125, B125M, and B155M, the Procare B40, and Corometrics 120, 128, 129, 250, 250cx, 259, and 259cx fetal and maternal monitors. Datex-Ohmeda Aespire 7900, B30, E-PRESTN, E-PRETN, E-PSM(P), and E-RESTN equipment and the Draeger Narkomed 6400 are also supported. The hose pairs with neonatal two-tube cuffs that have male luer slip fittings, and the monitor should be set to neonatal mode.
Design and Construction
The hose runs 8.2 ft (2.5 m), a practical reach from a bedside or warmer-mounted monitor into an isolette or radiant warmer. The monitor end has a GE neonatal “black block” connector made of polyamide that seats both lumens in the NIBP port at once. The cuff end has dual female neonatal safe-release luer connectors that accept the male luer slip fittings on disposable neonatal cuffs and separate cleanly if the line is pulled. The narrow blue PVC tubing, with an inner diameter of about 0.10 in (2.6 mm) and an outer diameter of about 0.23 in (5.8 mm), is sized for neonatal air volumes and makes the neonatal hose easy to tell apart from adult hoses. The hose is latex-free, non-sterile, weighs about 0.7 lbs, and ships one per bag.
When to Replace Your GE Neonatal NIBP Hose
Neonatal NIBP is especially sensitive to air leaks because of the small cuff volume. Replace the hose when you see repeated inflation cycles, “cuff leak” or measurement-failed messages with a fresh cuff, readings that time out, or pressures that don’t match a reference check. Also replace it if the tubing has cracked or stiffened near either end, if the luer fittings no longer hold the cuff snugly, or if the black block sits loosely in the monitor port. A quick leak test with a neonatal cuff and simulator confirms whether the hose is the cause.
Cross Reference and Interchange Part Numbers
This compatible neonatal dual-tube NIBP hose, IPR Medical SKU BPH-ND25-14N-17, cross-references to GE Healthcare part numbers 2017009-001, 414874-001, 9461-218, and 2017009-002 (the OEM 2017009-002 is a 4 ft hose). It also interchanges with AMC HO-D34266-8 and Unimed HDN-24-27. Materials managers and purchasing staff can use any of these numbers to confirm the match against existing inventory, work orders, or requisitions. For adult and pediatric patients, IPR Medical also stocks the compatible GE 2017008-001 dual-tube hose.
