What Is the Siemens Compatible 3-Lead Grabber/Pinch ECG Leadwire?

The IPR Medical EL-SM3-90G-A is a compatible aftermarket (not OEM) 3-lead ECG leadwire for use with Siemens equipment. Rather than snaps, its three limb leads terminate in grabber/pinch electrode ends. Grabber jaws that have lost their spring and let the electrode slip are the most obvious cue that this leadwire has reached the end of its service life. Cracked or nicked insulation on a lead, a loose or chipped molded connector, and contacts that are bent are further reasons to pull it. If lead-off alarms or baseline noise carry on after the electrodes have been changed, try a known-good leadwire to see whether the fault moves with it.
