On Our Bench

Common Heska Vet/IV 2.2 Repairs

These are the faults we find most often when Vet/IV 2.2 pumps come in for evaluation.

Depleted or expired batteries

Batteries that no longer hold a charge cause shutdowns during transport or when the pump is unplugged.

Pumping mechanism wear

A worn or damaged mechanism mesh pushes delivered volume out of tolerance and fails rate-accuracy testing.

Air-in-line sensor faults

Worn or broken air-in-line sensors trigger air errors when there is no air in the line.

Case and keypad damage

Cracked front cases, broken case posts, worn keypad overlays and buttons that stop responding.

Pressure and occlusion errors

Defective pressure sensors behind high-pressure and random occlusion alarms.

Door and pole clamp problems

Doors that won’t latch or detect a loaded set, and broken pole clamp knobs.

FAQ

Heska Vet/IV 2.2 Repair Questions

Can you switch my Vet/IV 2.2 from Baxter to Hospira IV sets?

Yes. The Vet/IV 2.2 is calibrated for a specific IV set brand. We can recalibrate your pumps to the brand your clinic uses, which helps when your usual sets are hard to get.

Why does my Vet/IV 2.2 alarm for air when there is no air?

False air alarms usually come from a worn or damaged air-in-line sensor or a set that is not seated correctly. We test the sensor and replace it if needed.

Do you offer preventive maintenance and calibration?

Yes. Preventive maintenance and calibration are a flat fee. Contact us or call (855) 477-8866 and we will confirm pricing for your models.

Do you provide loaner pumps during repair?

We don’t offer loaners. If a pump isn’t worth repairing, you can decline the estimate and we can credit that unit toward a recertified pump.

How do I send my equipment in?

Submit an RMA request online. We email you a free inbound shipping label (FedEx or UPS), and you pack and ship your equipment to our Tustin, California facility.

What does it cost if I decline the repair?

Nothing. For customers in the United States, the shipping label, the evaluation and the return of declined equipment are free. Some large or specialty equipment carries an evaluation fee, and we always tell you before you send it in.

Do your repairs come with a warranty?

Yes. Every repair includes a 90-day warranty. Recertified equipment we sell comes with a 6-month or 1-year warranty depending on the model.
