Medfusion 2010i
The Medfusion 2010i is the expanded-capability version of the Medfusion 2010 — an ambulatory syringe pump offering the broadest unit coverage in the 2010-series platform. Where the 2010 covers the most common weight-based and mass dosing units, the 2010i adds 15 available delivery modes across Body Weight, Mass, Continuous, and Volume Over Time categories, with an extended range of unit conversions that gives clinicians greater flexibility across critical care, anesthesia, neonatal, and specialty pharmacy applications.
The 2010i stores up to 64 user regimens and protocols across two protected user banks for fast recall of pre-programmed clinical regimens. Bolus delivery is programmable and can be administered at any time prior to or during drug delivery. It runs on AC power or internal rechargeable battery, accepts B-D, Monoject, and Terumo syringes from 1 mL to 60 mL with automatic syringe size detection, and delivers flow rates from 0.01 to 378.0 mL/hr at ±3% accuracy. Four-position variable occlusion settings and a custom program lockout mode allow the pump to be configured to facility-specific requirements.
The Medfusion 2010i is a discontinued product that remains in active use. Whether you need a patient-ready unit, replacement parts, or a repair on a pump already in your fleet, IPR Medical is here to help. We buy, sell, repair, and stock parts for the Medfusion 2010i — contact us to discuss your needs.

The broadest unit coverage in the 2010-series platform
The Medfusion 2010i offers the most flexibility of any pump in the Medfusion 2010 series. With 15 available delivery modes across Body Weight, Mass, Continuous, and Volume Over Time categories, it covers a wider range of dosing units than the standard 2010 — making it the appropriate choice for critical care, anesthesia, neonatal, pediatric, and specialty pharmacy applications where unit conversion flexibility is a clinical requirement. The 2010i can be field customized to enable only the modes and units relevant to a specific care area, and its access code-protected custom program mode prevents unauthorized changes at the bedside.
15 delivery modes across four categories
Body Weight mode supports mcg/kg/min, mcg/kg/hr, mg/kg/min, and mg/kg/hr — automatically calculating delivery rate from entered concentration and patient weight. Mass mode extends to mcg/min, mcg/hr, mg/min, mg/hr, mU/min, mU/hr, units/min, and units/hr. Continuous mode adds ml/min alongside ml/hr. Volume Over Time mode rounds out the system by accepting a dose volume and delivery time and automatically calculating the required rate. All modes support bolus delivery except Volume Over Time.
64 stored regimens and user banks
The 2010i stores up to 64 pre-programmed user regimens and protocols across two protected user banks — Bank A and Bank B — for fast recall of facility-specific or clinician-specific drug delivery profiles. Regimens can store concentration, weight, bolus, rate, volume limit, and user ID. Bolus delivery can be programmed, changed, or administered at any time prior to or during drug delivery, and the standby mode retains all programmed data across temporary infusion suspensions without requiring reprogramming on restart.
Broad syringe compatibility and variable occlusion
The 2010i accepts B-D plastic (1–60 ml), B-D glass (1–10 ml), Monoject (1–60 ml), Terumo (1–60 ml), and Abbott Abboject (50 ml) syringes, with automatic size detection for all supported models except the B-D 1 cc Luer-lock. The pump automatically adjusts output PSI based on syringe size, and four-position variable occlusion sensitivity — Low, Intermediate, Normal, and High — allows the setting to be matched to the clinical application and line configuration.
2010i vs. 2010 — choosing the right model
The 2010i and 2010 share the same physical form factor and core delivery platform. The 2010i is the right choice when your clinical application requires mass mode unit conversions beyond mg/hr, additional continuous mode units beyond ml/hr, or the full 15-mode delivery library. If mcg/kg/min, mcg/kg/hr, mg/kg/min, and mg/kg/hr in body weight mode alongside mg/hr mass and ml/hr continuous covers your facility’s needs, the standard Medfusion 2010 is available here.
